Astra GTE/ Mk2 Cavalier 'Teardrop' Alloys in 15" Group Buy

Yes that's right. Davey J on Astra-mk2.com has asked Compomotive about making a replica of the factory 'teardrop' alloy in 15" form. This would enable the use of 288mm "V6" front brakes. whilst maintaining the original look and improving the handling slightly.
The downside is £95+vat each with a minimum of 60 orders.

I really just need to get a general interest raised on these at the moment. The tooling costs are prohibitive at best on 60 wheels but this can be got around with either a large buy or bringing a company into it who can invest then perhaps sell the wheels at a higher costs to get their £7K back.

I also need to know if people want 6.5 or 7 inch width on the wheels. Clearing 288mm brakes keeps popping up too.

Retaining the centre caps from the original wheels is also being requested and is something I initially asked about. The only problem is Compomotive powder coat their wheels and you cannot powder coat plastic. So we either get the colour codes and compromise there or go for metal centres and get innovative with Vauxhall bonnet badges such as Astra GTE ones..........................

no the cesaro's from a cavalier they only come in 15 4stud

There are 15" five stud cesaro's too. Came on some cav v6's, very rare though

For the sake of getting a set made it would make more sense to use the vectra 16's. File off the branding and get a new centre cap machined....
