Following a bit of a vote, yesterday we had our first Scottish Region drive, nothing too extreme, I did about 250miles all in, but we took in some pukka roads.
Our day started with a quick run up the M90 for Me, Coo, CRA161E and Jenifer to meet up at the McDonalds in Perth where we found Garyvaux, Run_pug, Scotty and our tour guide, hall of vaux (in an L200).
It wouldn't be a Vauxhall meet without an open bonnet....
Coo had spent the whole day before detailing the VXR....
Obviously the best car in attendance....
We headed north along the old A9 along some slightly slippy roads ending up in Dunkeld, looks like a nice place, though we were informed that the nightlife was quite "interesting"
After this, it was a quick run up to Pitlochry, we stood in a car park, had a laugh and got cold.
The next destination was Aberfeldy, great fun roads, just not so much in a Vectra with worn bushes and wobbly steering.....
Another car park.....
At least Scotty knew his tail pipe wouldn't freeze....
We stopped at Castle Menzies for some pictures.....
Coo got comfy.....
I remembered that if you turn the camera squint it makes you a proper tog....
After Scotty gave us the low down on Medieval architecture we headed towards Creiff, after some folk tried to pussy out, we decided to go the "interesting" road, full of alpine style hairpins and places where you could easily write off your car.
It turned out that it was quite cold up the top.....
See, y'all think you're clever fitting your big wide wheels....
The Vectra just chugged up no bother and not even a wheel spin
The snow just disappeared and going down the other side this view appeared.....
We got a bit split up after this bit, and called it a day (well after me, Craigie and Jenifer went for a High Tea).
The old bus has racked up a few miles now....
