    digi dash buying/selling

when buying a digi dash i know the speed sensor needs to match, do i need to trace the loom back behind the dash or can i cut the 3 wires so buyer can wire it up??

any help would be great as obviously want to sell it the way its suppose to be as in all correct bits there

    cheers s-K

I'd just leave them as much wire as you can

As long as you have given them the plug and wire they can sort the rest

You want the 2x multi plugs in the back of the dash left with if possible too.................(ignore if you have this covered).

In the back of the dash there are two slots for the two multi plugs in the Astra dash loom to go into. Ideally you want to chop these and leave them in the back of the dash as only Astras have them as standard. If someone buys the clocks to go into a corsa they will need the plugs to splice into their own dash looms.

    Re: digi dash buying/selling

They can be sourced.........but given the scarcity of GTE stock these days it is much easier just to sort this out for people. Especially given how tight wallets are generally at the mo. Try and leave as much of the wiring (length) as you can. Most of it is soldered together and joined to single wires in the Nova/Corsa.

Most GTE restos will have the wiring already so they don't need them.

Might be best advertising it with the option of with or without depending on what the buyer needs them for. Saves you wrecking a loom.

I'll bet if you push the reset needle in firmly it'll start working again. Common problem on them sticking and all fixable.

In good nick with loom, transducer and both plugs aim for £50-60 delivered really.

No probs. Shame you are breaking it really. Sometimes they do appear to be WAY more hassle than they are worth!

Typical GTE ownership story sadly. There is one on the MK2 owners club FOR SALE section that looks a BARGAIN at £2.8K if that can be believed. Is the Champagne one that's had a nut and bolt rebuild. Smart money is on that for me.

The one I am on about is on standard rims. It is a proper clean example.
