Is there a height or weight restriction on the 3rd row seats? I know some in the press noted they were unsuitable for adults but don't know if that's some smart arse journo critique or an actual restriction.

That's quite odd, in this area they're allowed. I remember reading something about luggage space when I was looking into PH cars, could it be something along they lines? I don't recall a newer Zafira having a much bigger boot than the first of them though.

8 Vehicles must have an engine capacity of no less than 1600 cc., have four side doors and have a minimum rear seat cushion width of 1.07 metres. The conditions of fitness are as shown in Appendix I hereto.
This is all I can find from the stuff I saved, bear in mind this is my local council though so likely to be different to yours!

    Re: zafira seats question

i rang the test centre and the manager was a cheeky f***er and told me the car is plated for four cos its not suitable for 6 and if im not happy with it ring this number so i rang number explained it to the man on the fone and he said why wouldnt he plate it for 6 so the centre manager had to ring me and tell me how sorry he was and the plates would be issued for 6 which i thought was funny , if the manager hadnt of been so cheeky i would have accepted that i could only carry four and not rang head office thanx for your replies
