Vectra Supertouring/GSi buying advice

Well it's about time I returned to the Vx fold and I'm looking at getting either a Supertouring or GSi with the latter being my first choice.
However, due to my lack of knowledge of the Vectra I was hoping that I could get a heads up on what to look out for.

Iv just bought an estate gsi, very happy apart from the flat spots, however im told they get a lot better by fitting a 4bar fpr or a 3.8bar fpr off the 2.6 v6
