    Re: Bugatti Calibra.

Its got a Chop Shop sign on the back so it must be a Leepu and Burnie job!

I have seen this car so I am loving it!
(If you read what the guy says on ebay, all those carlsberg stickers etc have been taken off, and thats how I saw it, without the ugly spoiler)

Started out as a Vauxhall calibra hatchback, the roof was removed, the sills were reinforced, the rear end is cross braced and the rear of the hatch has been refitted as a boot lid. The body was widened by about 6" all steel and welded. Then using various different bumpers the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned. The twin exhaust shown coming out of the rear bumper is real and in working order, sounds sporty but not intimidating. This car has been totally rebuilt from a shell so any parts what needed replacing was replaced.

The engine has been left standard other than a K&N air filter. it had a total engine rebuild and has only done 50,000 miles but on the clock it has done 170,000, it drives in perfect condition.

The car was painted at a professional garage in a spray bake oven in white and st focus green using the latest water based paints, so could easily be matched if altered to suit someone elses needs.

Wheels are Kosei R-Tune Racer 17" 5 spoke, fully refurbished. Rear tyres are 235-50-17 and Front are 215-40-17 and are spaced with 30mm spacers on front and 45mm on rear . Front tyres are new, rear are about 4 to 5mm.

The roof is made from genuine vinyl roof material which is easily press studed on and off and is fully waterproof, and can easily be stored in the boot of the car.

The leather interior is currently covered with seat protectors and can be removed if desired. With colour coded headrests gear gaitor and handbrake cover, overall very good clean interior, plus it has colour changing interior lights.

The car has a premium sound system, CD mp3 player plus sony explode speakers in doors and rear panels, jvc and pioneer 6" x 9" speakers in the shelf powered by a 240w amp, plus a 12" sub in boot powered by a 300w amp. In working order and sounds amazing.

There are a couple of green neon lights under the sills plus strobe lights under the front bumper for an added bit of fun at night, on a seperate switch to keep it legal.

we also have a full disk of photos and video footage of how the car was rebuilt from the start.

A majority of the stickers shown in the pictures have now been removed, including the carlsberg logos.

    Re: Bugatti Calibra.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the build photos.

There's a few things going against this:
    a) It was built by Chop Shop (which doesn't surprise me)
    b) It looks horrible,
    c) It was built to look horrible (see a),
    d) It came from the mind of Leepu, who I wouldn't employ to to decorate a Thornton's easter egg, never mind a car,
    e) It's got Wolfrace alloy wheels,

Was it built to order to be OTT, or did Leepu just do his usual thing and create something so unintentionally tacky and garish under the impression that it's classy? What's with all the Ripspeed stuff and cheap alloy wheels as well with these things, it cheapens all the work that's gone into it.
One dog goes one way and the other goes the other.
And this guy's saying, "Whaddya want from me?"

Exactly Dave, not sure quite what you mean, but as you mentioned "you REALLY have to like calibras to think this threads good. look at the cally on cover of TV this months then look at that thing."

I am taking it that you like it as well, and I have to say that you need to look at the real thing before spouting mouthful, at first thats exactly what I did, in my earlier post, but then after I had seen it for real, I have changed my mind. It is simply out of this world, breathtaking, it beats a genuine Bugati any time!lmao Oh its Calibra!!

    Re: Bugatti Calibra.

I bet none of you could even think of creating a car like this, MSG is correct in that don't knock it till you see it.

I think it is unique and should be in TV. If it was a Chop Shop creation then I might have doubts, but if it was improved after then it will be OK.

    Re: Bugatti Calibra.

exactly, it looks very different and hence it is unique, how well it is built regarding safety and strength that I don't know, but it looked quite cool as a car, it doesn't look any where near a calibra, as its entire shape from front to rear, sides etc has a new form, including the front grill, but we know that it started a s a calibra, and choped into its new shape, which I think looks quite good, as I had seen it briefly when it passed me the otryer day, obviously i could not give it a closer inspection. regarding how well its been constructed and how well does it drive, it sounded really thundry when it passed me. IT did not have that ugly spoiler and roof was down and out of sight.

I bet you none of us would have either. Despite having seen some weapons grade bellends on here over the years I steadfastly refuse to believe any of them would have been so ****ing stupid to have made a heap of **** like that. You don't need to see it in the flesh to know it's an horrific bag of absolute and utter wank.
Chop shop? The creator should be in the ****ing cop shop, having been arrested for having an offensive car in a built up area and for crimes against the automotive industry.

You're trying to defend the indefensible.
