    HELP! f18 gearbox

    hi there. im looking for and new gearbox for my astra 1.8 gsi on my gearbox its got stamped f18 and on the next bit there and some numbers 90 446 607 and under them is 84 15-07 are they the ratio numbers? and does anyone know where i can get 1? any help would be a great help

    Forget the F18 and go for a F20,

    could you do a straight swap from an f18 to an f20

    Yep and F16, I would also change your fly wheel to a c20ne flat type but you have to use the c20ne clutch. The flywheel is 4 kg lighter than the pot type

    oright cool i'll have to have a look into that then. so does the ratio of the gearbox matter?

    No, F20 is a cr and f18 wr.

    Both gearbox` have different ratios also clutch levers
