Hi everyone I'm making good progress tracking down the 51 Limited Edition Calibra Turbo's made.

The car

These were the last Calibra Turbos off the line in 1997/1998, finished in jet black with all the toys and gadgets inside including a unique build number on a plaque on the ashtray and a retrimmed leather steering wheel.

On the outside they got colour coded plastics, BBS RX alloys, small Irmscher spoiler and Irmscher "flying chip" badges to set off the unique colour not found on any other Calibra Turbo.

Chassis wise they are also factory lowered on Irmscher springs and Bilstein shocks, with stiffer Irmscher camber bushes on the rear independant trailing arms. They also had the 288mm brakes and closer-ratio steering from a late Calibra Turbo making them one of the best spec'd, rarest and fastest of the 90's Vauxhalls.

Sold on eBay as crash damaged, November 2009. Appears to have mild panel damage but apparently drives fine. Seller supplied the reg. Mileage showing as 135k on auction pics.

Me too mate I want another. I'd love to do a bareshell respray type build on one and keep it original except maybe an inch bigger BBS RX's (as per pic above) and some new suspension. And maybe 308mm brakes (they are standard GM right?).

You can't miss it, its on a badge on the front of the ashtray. It should say

No number on the plaque though and private 'M' plate so doesn't appear to match any on your list.

I've seen you a few times now on my way to and from work. I was a couple of cars behind you last week; followed you from Purley Cross until you turned off into Banstead Road :-)
