im thinking of buying a vectra c 1.9 cdti and stick a chip on it to reach 200hp but would like to know how reliable they are from anyone with experience?? is it an all round good car? do they still pull strong after 100,000 miles and would putting a power box/chip on it at around 100,000 put too much stress on the engine?

currently driving a corsa xe so wanted a bigger car with better fuel economy. thanks!

Re: Vectra C 1.9 cdti reliability?????????

ok, issues are with....

swirl flaps in the inlet manifold, but these may have been fixed already, think there was a recall
dual mass flywheels wear out alot apparently

Fuel economy may not be as good as you're expecting if it's only urban,

and i drove one with (not sure exactly) but quite probably a lot of miles on, and it still pulled like a train.

oh, and snapped springs and worn out shocks seem to be standard!

edit: and, the ****er will cost £80-90 to fill up lmao

Go to Vectra-C.com , as there is masses and masses of information on them
