Mav now has two Vauxhalls

As im planning to restore my GTE and then only use it for shows and track days etc I needed another car, on a limited budget due to doing the house up aswell I was looking for a Vectra SRi as you can pick up a decent one for little money these days, While scrolling through forums I stumbled across a Vectra GSi in black that a mate was selling, needs T&T putting on and a water leak curing (core plug and thermostat) and some minor TLC to the front, Unable to resist due to the LOW price I bought it and had it shipped here.
This will become my "daily runner"



Not sure wether to leave the wheels whte or return them to silver though

The wheels are mint and unkerbed so im not changing them, I will just repaint them.
One thing I do want is an irmscher grill though.

Cant drive it with no MOT and a waterleak chap, cheap to fix up then it will be cleaned up and drive, for now
Besides the GTE is a long term restoration it will be done properly and that wont be cheap.

No unfortunately not my old one mate, I lost track of it, apparently your mate sold it, I did ask him to keep me posted but I never heard back so I presume it was collected, its probably been broken up for the engine now although I hope not., trouble is that engine aint worth a dime without the ecu unless that has also been transfered into another car with the engine
Still I mamaged to pick up a genuine 85000 miler, still has the original dealer plates on it but the rear arches, sills and bulkhead need doing, bulkhead isnt cracked as far as I can tell but it is flexing a bit.

The ECU only had a Grp N chip. Didn't make significant difference over a standard ECU other than it allowed it to rev 500rpm higher which complimented the courtenay cams on that engine. Wasn't much in it though, as I often used to swap between ECUs.

It hasn't been broken as it's still insured and taxed.
