And why ?
And why ?
Corsa B - easy to modify plenty around cheap insurance really nice looking
Better at what?

Both have around the same build quality, both are still Corsas at the end of the day. Never once liked the way my C handled (turbo'd the B because of that). Corsa C's hold out very well in accident's and i know this from experience. Personally i would go for a B. Depends on plans though.

i prefer the handling in the corsa B its a little more hands on, there both well built. but to be honest ive found corsa c's commonly have CV boot failure ive done a couple of oil coolers on the diesel corsa C's aswell
I have both, have to say the C is a much better car in std form, the 1.2 16v twinport engine is very flexible for its size, the C is quieter, more comfortable, has better brakes and on the SXi chassis I think handles much better than a B. Less go kart like but much more stable and predictable. I would even say it handles better than my old Astra 4 GSi, however I am sure many would disagree with that.
If modding however it would be the b every time. Much lighter and more simple car, easy and cheap to work on and crucially the wiring is much easier to get to grips with. You can get them handling well with the right mods too. I also prefer the looks of the b especially in arden blue with the sport or gsi kit. I loved my old TB'd B and still really regret selling it. I now have a let B and am loving it as well. Only really suitable as a summer car though, defiantely prefer the C as an everyday car.
^^^ Agree with AJBek. I bought my Corsa C 1.4 Sri as a runaround and it was good enough for that. It was comfortable, reliablrye and easy to drive with the very light steering etc. But was very slow not great on fuel and parts were a bit more expensive.

Yeah, the sporty ones are not great, even the 1.8sri is dog slow and looses the economy of the 1.2. I would not get a C with any engine other than the 1.2 or 1.3 cdti as a daily runner. Jamie, been looking at your project thread. I am liking what you are doing with your car a lot. Definately what I am looking at doing with my let corsa, but funds holding me back a bit with a house to keep now. Will definately get there though. Much easier and cheaper the second time you do it as well.
i wouldn't mind a corsa C ive drove loads as part of my job i love the look of them especially the SRI but you just cant beat racing round in a good old B
I remember my Corsa C20XE sport when it was running on AVO chassis dynamics setup with just standard SXI wheels, it would grip very well and handle superb on corners. Just the speed mountains that put me off and I got sick of been bounced about.
Put a bit power in a B and they turn to ****e, the C handles the power much better but theres only so much you can chuck through the front wheels before even the C starts feeling a bit like its about to kill you. Its a shame the C weighs more than the B as it knocks the edge off the performance if you like your qtr mile and track days.
Given the choice i'd go with a C everytime.

C.... end of!
I prefer the handling of the C personally, and the 16v Isuzu diesel engines are so much better than the old 8v ones. I also prefer the pedal layout of the C over the B, the B has this annoying bumper that my foot hits next to the accelerator and no footrest when the clutch is not being used.
Finally, whilst Bs are easy and relatively easy to modify, I think that the C mods look so much nicer.
ive owned both in standard form (well the b was a gsi and the c was a 1.2 sxi) and tbh i hated the driving the c. interior in it felt cheap, small and very plasticy, the ride was very poor, and i generally hated going near it let alone going in it.
Having had a variety I would say a corsa B is better in terms of steering due to the C's using the cack Epas which is very very annoying overall C's drive nicer especially the pick of the bunch being the 1.7cdti sri which i currently have. However the best corsa i would say i had was a good old B with a C16XE looked great in Gsi format and went/ sounded good
Owns a white Mk3 turbo diesel with more stopping power then engine power..... boosting 0.9bar, Now De-catted!!
