Description: 1991 Vauxhall Nova 1.4 SR (mk2).

Engine (swapped, 18th May 2002): BLOCK 1400cc, polished and balanced crank, honed, slight over-bore, forged pistons, lightened flywheel, decked. HEAD sourced from Astra mk2 1.4 8v, skimmed (to raise compression to 10.6:1), ported and polished, 3-angle valve seats, Paul Ivey stainless steel competition inlet valves, nickel-brass valve guides. MISC Bosch Super 4 spark plugs, Weber 32/34 DTML carburettor, Samco Hoses, Ashley exhaust system, Ashley 4-branch exhaust manifold, RamAir air filter, Omega oil cooler.

Transmission: Close-ratio F10, quick-shift linkage.

Suspension: Jamex "X-Low" sportline kit (60mm front, 40mm rear), Nova GSi front anti-roll bar, front and rear strut braces, fast-road poly-bushes.

Brakes: Cavalier GSi Tarox grooved & drilled front discs & calipers, Cavalier SRi rear discs & calipers, Cavalier GSi servo & master cylinder, braided hoses, dot 4 synthetic fluid.

Body: Seat Toledo splitter, Bee-sting aerial, no side repeaters, Single wiper conversion, re-badged in Vauxhall chrome, colour-coded GSi front & rear bumpers, de-locked, colour-coded door handles, Nova GSi colour-coded side skirts, Aero fuel-filler cap, Toyota Yaris rear wiper, colour-coded rear grab-handle.

Interior: Cobra Monaco front seats, Leather gear-lever and handbrake-lever gaiters, Corsa stalks, Mountey alcantera steering wheel, red anodized door pins, Nova GSi 6-clock black dashboard, black heater controls, Nova GSi door sills, Nova GSi centre console and fascia trays.

Wheels & Tyres: Rimstock Motorsport 6.5x15 ET49, Falken ZE-502 195/45s.

ICE & Security: Alpine CDE7826R Head Unit, Alpine SPE6936 6x9s, Alpine MRV T503 Amplifier, Alpine SWR254D 1000W Sub, Infinity Tweeters, Gamma alarm (w/remote central locking), Clifford Virtual-Key 2 immobiliser.

Performance (recorded with old engine): 93bhp [94Ps] @ 6190rpm (79.5bhp at the wheels), 98lb/ft [138Nm] torque @ 4,000rpm, 120bhp/tonne, 0-60 in 9 seconds.
