Selling a CAT D car Question.

hi guys, i have been on the bloody phone all day trying to get though to DVLA with no luck and google is not helping me this lol.

i have a car i got off a mate after he wrote it off when i got it he still had the log book and sent it off, DVLA then told me i need a VIC check to get it back on the road, which is fine but i want to get rid of it as bord of the project, just wanted to know if any one knows can i change the owner over with out having a VIC check and no log book from DVLA as they wont issue one untill the VIC test has been done.

any idears because need to get this thing off my drive lol.

stt your right its cat C not D lol, so i am stuck with it untill i get the vic check done of scrap it?? i just want to sell it to someone who want a project. =)

just sell it and let the new owner pay the £38 for the vic check & then he can send for the v5 for free then in his name

ITS NOT BLEEDIN ILLEGAL TO SELL A CAR WITHOUT A V5 OR V5/C...if it was you wouldn`t be able to buy damaged repairables. DVLA only advises you not buy a car without one. If you do then you have to pay for a V5.

No it isn`t! I`ve bought and sold lots of vehicles without a V5..Just a pain in the arse having to go to DVLA in Norwich!
