If the previous owner can't help you any further, then what about the company who previously done the work? Unless he done it himself obviously.

There are 4 sizes of pistons for the Cav Turbo block so that they cover the entire range of chamber sizes as there can be no gaurantee that every one will be the same during manufacture.

Basically, Vauxhall have identical pistons ranging from 85.986mm diameter to 86.025mm. They can gaurantee a tolerance of a few mm during manufacture so they have made the pistons a variety of sizes to cover it (as well as the rings etc to match).

There is no real "wrong" one. You might have to take the block in or get someone to measure it ACCURATELY as each piston size only covers 1mm or LESS so its gotta be spot on measuring.

I have a feeling that all yours are the same as they give IDENT number 00 which is a piston size of 85.996mm - 86.005mm (not much in it eh ??) This only applies to your existing block.

You buy the pistons you need depending on the size required for each cylinder so there is no real answer TBH.... all depends on the block
