    Insurance - nova

is £1000 a bit on the steep side for a 1.2 nova with ice/alloys/colour coded bumpers-spoiler-dash/Digi dash/antibes interior/SR rear spoiler-Carb-uprated cam/K&N and an irmscher exhaust+few other bits and bobs????

its the best quote ive got so far.... im 19 in a few weeks...

that would be on a provisional aswell.

ok i know im starting late but i cant afford the bloody insurance.. well i soon will do

i want to be able to get it on monthly installments....

Find my insurance post a few pages back, that will give you some ideas of some companies and prices. Are you not taking your test for a while? I found that the insurance goes up after you pass, bear that in mind.

why???? beacause you no longer have to drive with a confident driver?????

i think ill be staying on a provisional for a while then..LOL.. at least till my cars fully modded and looks a bit more respectable.

more chance of passing first time aswell if ive had plenty of practice!!! i dont think id wanna do a test more than once!!

    Badly
You must have expected to pay a high insurance premium driving a modded car when you don't have a full licence. Running before you can walk springs to mind.

got my nova for my 17th...

    it was a complete wreck..

so i thought why not mod it... whats the point of using standard parts (the car had been completely taken apart) when improved parts are sometimes cheaper!!

and once youve started u cant stop as im sure your all aware!!

oh well its far from perfect yet!

sometimes it was just a case of what i could get off mates who were breaking cars for themselves and had plenty left over!

thats where i got the exhaust/filter/alloys/carb from!! a m8 mate bought an SR for the engine!

Companies know that the guy sitting next to you won't let you do anything stupid so they quote you a bit less. Your not driving the car without someone else are you?

Then they think that when you pass you'll floor it everywhere are crash alot.

Direct Line is a good company but I don't know what the cheapest quote for you would be, with all those mods £1000 may be a good deal.
