mm, cant wait for the first race tbh! i know its only testing but the 'rarri does look fast, especially with alonso in it, as does the sauber, jenson looks like he's just realised what he's done, and schuey looks like he's never been away, awesome!

I was reading that according to Hamilton he had a lot of input in the design of the car, which I translated to making it be a car that would handle as he wanted it to. So Jenson's a wee bit buggered!

Be interesting to see what the Red Bull looks like and how it performs.

Glad they didn't enforce the 2 pit stops during the race (stupid ****ing rule that was IMHO) but would have preferred them to use what ever tyre they wanted in qualifying, as the best qualifiers are not always the people with the most race speed.

have they binned that then? i though the q3 guys had to start the race on the tyre they did their fastest lap on?

and yeah, i think the mclaren will naturally suit lewis more, despite what the mclaren pr machine is saying about the car suiting both equally, they have almost opposite driving styles!!

    Re: 'F1 season chat'

its only being done to meet moto gp safety requirements, not sure why they don't just leave the f1 track as it is, the circuit isn't the bit that needs work, its the paddock etc..

Michelin have spoken openly about possibly supplying F1 in future years.

Testing up to now over the past few days has seen a fair bit of rain. Hopefully Virgin have cured the front wing issues they were having.

Alonso and Button are both very fast today. Schumacher and Webber are not that slow but not up at this moment with Mclaren and Ferrari.

    Re: 'F1 season chat'

Time to resurrect this thread! As said in another thread, Vettel comprehensively won that one lmao

Hopefully next year will be closer as apart from the periscope exhausts to try and limit the blowing of the diffuser with exhaust (which now blow the rear wing instead ) the specs for the car are the same really, and people were closing on Redbull towards the end so hopefully that trend will continue.

    BBC announce 2012 schedule!

Most of the good and convenient time-zone races covered, the rest will be on Sky, free if you have HD or Sports. Brundle will commentate for Sky, rumour has it the BBC will share the feed.

Kimi "I was taking a sheet" Raikkonen is back

2012 - quarter of the grid are former WDCs now!

    Re: 'F1 season chat'

am i right in thinking at the end of the show on saturday jake said the highlights will be 2 hours long which surely means the whole race. hope it is

nice that brundle is staying hopefully the bbc will share his commentary.

wondering what the pre show will be like on the bbc live races now though, they had access to alot of neat stuff due to it being with eddie and david plus with brundles connections on the f1 paddock.

lee what are you on! i loved the sound of the red bulls and renaults on overrun this year.

some blown diffuser goodness for your ears.
the red bulls are just crazy at the start.
you can also make out how the smaller teams just havnt deleveloped the system like the top teams have.

Brundle is off to sky, so at best you'll only hear his voice, not grid walks etc.
