As for the other designs the six wheeler surf car was crap. however he more than made up for that with the red Enzo themed car. Doesn't look like an Enzo but still a very nice super car look.

If you know your cars and car design you would be a fan , if you are a mechanic on the other hand you would be turning your head everytime you see how they put them together. If you got Lepu and a mood mechanic and gave them enough money so they could build these from scratch rather than chopping up old cars and using rusting parts you would have some of the best cars ever made come from their garage.

I sense you only joined up here to comment on this OLD thread! Lepooo is that you lmao

if you think that looks like an enzo, you need your eyes tested, if you think his cars are art, you need your brain checked and if you joined this site just to talk this drivel, you need your account deleted.

If you ever saw the paintwork, filler pits and orange peel on that "enzo" you'd be ashamed to put your name to it.

for a car modifier yeah I can see why people think he is good but for creating such monstrosities and wandering why people wont pay 5 times book value he's no supercar designer, he may aswell just be another "Terry the tosser" as they put it.

    Tribute to Chop Shop's Leepu, he's a hero !

    hey MSG,

have to totally agree with what you say word for word.
the first one I saw, was where they took some car and totally transformed it,
they showed them working on the car, with MINIMUM power tools, use hacksaw blaeds and sand paper.

and dude any brown skin whalla is automatically indian, init , live in da jungle and boil up white men in cooking pots right.

As you say the guy does it without CAD/sketches etc, from some black hole in deepest Bangladesh, I think the guy is top notch, and good for him. Pity some people cant see that, look at the shows on car's on cable all owned/run or done by WASP's.

And for the haters on here, (below) see the ****e that edumacated people in UK with powertools and all the gear can turn out.

sure he's not everyones cup of tea, but considering, this is a car forum, where some people posts' on what they want to do to theres cars beggers beliefe, think yall should cut him some slack.

modification s not to everyones cup of tea, some are good some are bad, and beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

but you gotta admire a guy with very little education, and working outta a 3rd world garage (except ewhen he did some work here in London) with limited tools and resources.

Lastly how wrong even to assume he is from india! He is native of bangladesh a third world country and for someone to emerge from a half submerged land to come with such novel ideas is to be seen as something of the extraordinary! Afterall how many Bangledeshi guys do you see on TV and nearly all of them only know how run a small restaurant offering the hottest vindaloo your money can buy!! lmao

Oh my God Jay! what the hell did you post above !! you nearly made me puke! but i just laughed instead.

guys are getting up mixed here with what he is demonstarting is about his talent and and not trying to salvage cars from rusty heaps back on the roads.

Personally if I knew the guy i would commission him to turn up my calibra into a small hatchback that would look exactly like a calibra from the front and sides execpt the rear half would be like a small hatchback and give you a smaller wheel base like one you get on a corsa or a Nova but with better aerodynamics due to caibra front.

Re: Tribute to Chop Shop's Leepu

Don't forget, the TV programme makers need programmes to keep theoir audiances happy and entertained, they come up or encourage or promote such talents as Lipu pocesses, and thats just it, its a talent and it does not matter how much fillers go in, how body panels are cut and welded together, weather springs are cut to lower the ride height, because the whole idea is to turn a scrap heap into what looks like an expensive high performance roadster, even if it has a 1.6L 8 valve engine in it, and personally i think to transform a rusty old toyota into an expensive looking sports car is a talent irrespective of its mechanics and strength, they are not meant to be driven like, but should still be capable of running and not fall to bits within a yard of moving.

like the scrap heap chellenge programme where the chellenge is to come up with a working example of anything from bits of scrap, in Lipu's case the chellenge is to convert a rusty old bangers into different modern looking cars, something along the lines of expensive looking cars like lambos and so on, and TBH lambos shape is not to everyone's liking, I love it though, I will have a lambo anytime, but instead of criticising how much filler goes in making those shapes people are missing the point, they are not meant to be road worthy cars, just concepts and ones that can run realistically to some extent without falling to bits in a few seconds. Thats my opinion, but of course everyone is entitled to their opinions, its a free world, everyone can speak their mind, in my views the guy is truely gifted and talented and I have to say I don't pocess those sort of talents, I have yet to take out a small ding in my car and have spent the last btwo or three years thinking about it! May be if i knew lipu he could splash a dolop of filler and my Calibra can look like a lambo!lmao

I agree with the tribute thing, and I was a bit harsh on that one. I had no idea it was a replica of the original turbine car!

Old thread here, but I actually much enjoyed watching these shows. Like I enjoy watching many B- movies, it's the cheesiness, the swearing, the illusion of time pressure and short budgets that makes me having a good laugh about it. The cockney and Bangladeshi accent goes quite well with it actually.

I'm not watching it expecting them to make lovely cars or book excellent technical results, like people listening to Mick Jagger singing don't expect to hear Vittorio Grigolo.

Man almost every car gets the same treatment and seen from the side the tiny disc brakes seem miles away from the rims due to their enormous spacers... It's just not what it's about, it's PURE entertainment and if you can't enjoy watching it I fully understand. Guys here on the forum tend to love their cars and get a freaking headache from watching these guys butcher them up. Literally everything that doesn't immediately meet the eye is getting a quick and dirty fix.

I find it quite amazing these cars even make it back on the road...

I rather watch this show to know how NOT to work on my own car or let anyone else, and it would be great if there was a show on where cars DO get their deserved tender love and care, but it would just be a whole other show. There are ALWAYS better or worse ways to do any job, this was just filmed. Rather pointless to criticise their ways, just have a laugh!lmao

First episode back in Bangladesh was just hilarious! Guys scraping off the paint with saw blades and when they pick up the engine it gets started right in front of the place in the freakin' dirt!!
When advanced technology fails you need advanced personell using advanced tools and equipment to find advanced solutions... Somehow in either of these matters it keeps going wrong??!?
