was it not in total vauxhall magazine a few months ago , guy had a maassive collection of old vauxhalls and this one was sitting up the back of the unit getting restored to former glory ,think it got painted blue, and the guy put it back to gold

I think you are right Micky. The registration rang a bell when I saw it in there.

A bit of an update.. I started this thread i think 3 years ago and i've just noticed a few replies not so many months back.

I NOW OWN THE CAR - After long last!!!

Basically yes it was painted a horrible Renault blue colour and found on eBay by Monty around this time last year and he painted it and basically put it back to it's former glory - I think Total vauxhall did the feature around May/June time last year and i've owned the car since the end of June!

It was myself who wrote the Vauxhall Heroes feature with Monty. I remembered the car from it's first feature (which was before my time with the mag) so it was a bit of a surprise to see it at the back of his unit. I actually thought it had been tucked away since it was featured but as you say, it was sold on several times before ending up on ebay in a really bad state, painted some terrible colour with half an offensive bodykit fitted. Dave bought it and returned it to its former glory.

Nice to see it's in the hands of another enthusiast.
