    Skunkworkz Turbo Cab Build Pics

    I thought I’d share the strip and rebuild pics from my Astra Cab Turbo.

    How i bought the car






    Stripping







    Bodywork Mods:

    Mirrors
    Standard vs chopped






    Rear Bumper






    Rocker Cover





    Rear Lights

    Then i done some samples of what colour tint i wanted to do them so they ended up the same as the Lexmaul Lights

    And the finished arcticle

    You know to get a better finish on the panels, you should paint them the same way as they would be on the car. For example, you have the bonnet vertical, but in reality... it would be horizontal on the car, so therefore it should of been painted horizontally... just an heads up for next time. You did the doors right!

    Christ theres more done than i noticed, Didnt spot you have shorten the mirrors too.
    Love the two becomes one rear bumper, coverd in trick mods. Any pics of the rocker cover under the plug cover where the oil filler is?

    Fantastic car, didnt know i had missed it being in tv tho

    How much did the 'wrecked' Astra cost originally?
    And I thought that 'warp' effect in the first pic was actually an aftermarkety bumper!!!

    lol where did you hear that?
    As i've never heard or seen that before..

    A bonnet is better painted up that way as its a large surface to pick up dust and cause of the withd you can have probs reaching the very middle...

    Sure was but i just used the workshop and done all but the painting myself.

    always love the skunkworkx conversions, did the owner smash into a wormhole, that front bumper is pretty messed up

    Cracking car mate. I read that issue of total vauxhall inside and out as i was on holiday at the time and i owned the MK2 astra turbo that was published in the same issue. Also i really like what you done to your previous damage repairable MK4 both very nice cars. What you planning on next then?

    wow, thats easily my favourite coupe turbo, very nice work, loads of style, awesomeness

    Steve, theyre mounted whichever way is the easiest to get to all surfaces needing coating, no need for pointing anyway really unless its some funky hard to match type
