    New car advice. Please help

    hi,

I havn't posted on here for a bit as I haven't had a vauxhall. Now im looking for a new one and could do with some advice.

To start with, my budget is 5k. I definately want a vauxhall and these are the three cars I'm looking at:

    Vectra GSI
I've had one before, but it was high mileage and was starting to get problems. i think i would have to get a low mileage one. I would preferably be a facelift one too.

    Astra Turbo Coupe
Never even been in one. How are the reliability with these? What sort of condition would i get for 5k?

    Cavalier Turbo
I have always loved these cars, i know they are rair and very hard to find a decent example. I'm not sure wether it would be a car i could keep for years that would not cost a fortune to upkeep.

im getting the car now as we are having a baby in april (i know i should be spending money on baby, blah blah, but dont worry about that). So i wat a car that i am less likely to have to spend a fortune on in the next couple of years.

Sorry for the essay, i could just do with any help, advice or pointers.

    Cheers in advance
if everything is under control your not going fast enough

The Astra Coupe turbo would be my choice, easily. Reliable, comfortable, modern (compared to the others) and mine averaged 31mpg with mixed driving. Cheap to get more more power from too.

£5k buys a good clean example these days too. I bought my 46k mile example with FSH for £5600 and that was ages ago.

    This and that
My choice would be the Veccy GSi out of those three; performance and practicality!
Plus should find a nice one easily with your budget!
