Retro Rides and eBay favourite Paul. Most have rotted to high heaven by now though. I've seen the odd one advertised on some French car forums, will let you know if I spot anything. Citroen Visa pretty similar iirc, one of them any good if I come across one?

i think we used the 1340 engine it had a fivbe speed gearbox, at that time you could pick the cars quite cheaply because when you went to see them if you lifted the rear seats the floor used to be rotten, hence a good price could been had, my friend used to stage rally a yellow one with bonnet vent etc used to go very.

thats very simliar to the one i had in fact i had a few as i had a number of offs while rallying,a silver one like the one in the pic and a blue one, the rules at the time i was rallying were that you could only have a single forty, i only have photos, but if intrested would try and get them put on a disc so they can be uploaded

As requested - Not massively common round here.
Found this one maybe 200kms away...
    http://www.leboncoin.fr/vi/8571281.htm?ca=16_s
    1984 4-speed.
Very good condition mechanically, sunroof, comes with lots of spares. 570E is a smidge over £400.

    this one
    http://www.leboncoin.fr/vi/8648968.htm?ca=16_s
ia 1984, has a new tyre and needs a balljoint changed to pass french mot.
    no price,he says "fair offer"

Looking to the north round calais way...
one of the most half-assed widearch conversions ive ever seem. the arches are blatently from some other car.
    http://www.leboncoin.fr/vi/8318847.htm?ca=11_s

There are a few others too.
go to the home page http://www.leboncoin.fr/ and choose the region to search and ram in a keyword.
if you are considering one....."sans CT" or "CT a faire" means it has no French MOT
"Sans carte gris " or "sans CG" means it has no V5. a car sold here without its registration paper is worth jack-all, ideal for you, but you will have no proof of the cars age to register it in uk.
"en l`etat" is slang for sold as seen ie its a bit ****ty.

    Plus, there is always www.ebay.fr

    good luck

"One for the collectors, my 1982 Talbot Samba LS. MOT'd until about April 08 I think, and in reasonable order for the age. Suspected Head Gasket or other engine failure. Want to see it go to a good home, too good to chop up. email me mat.tuck(at)ntlworld.com replace (at) with @."

They are the same as Citroen Visa's and Peugeot 104's.
My dad had a 104 many years ago. Horrible mechanics, and tinny and tiny.
I'd have one though. A 104 went for 2k a couple of years ago. There is a Visa on retrorides.
One dog goes one way and the other goes the other.
And this guy's saying, "Whaddya want from me?"
