Gay. What would be really gay is if it was caused by the head gasket...

9201018. £98+VAT TC, £128+VAT to Joe Public. Not too bad really.

That looks more like stone damage or something to me.
    They're there, in their room.

They quoted me about £50 for mine, unsure what it would be from vaux.

Its got a hell of a lot of stone chips on the front and came with a pair of headlight protectors... Something hitting it would make sense. I think its been leaking a small amount for a fair while though, because that side of the grille has a white residue on it, which I assumed was polish.

Problem is I'm at uni, car gets parked on a the street, so doing the work myself is a bit of an impossibility. Normally I would.

Parking's a rape here though. For a start I'd have to be doing everything about 100 meters down from where I live. I'd have to contend with 4x4's with bad female drivers trying to parrallel park on my face and I'd probably get reported by some twat anyway.

To be honest pal, a rad is no problem at all. Had my old one out and a new one in in 20 minutes, and that included boost hoses for the I/C, draining and filling the coolant, fitting the fan...etc.

The biggest problem you'll have with nosey neighbours is the coolant all over the road.

Of course, if it "accidentally leaked" out of the rad...

Get one of these bad boys: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA...QQcmdZViewItem

May not be the exact one for your car, but they are awesome radiators. I've got one in my Cav and the fan's not come on since I fitted it! I'm seriously impressed, I just assumed a radiator was a radiator.

I ordered one from vaux already. Will they hit me with a restocking fee?

I think they do if it's above a certain value.

A Vaux one will be plenty good enough, but they're expensive!

If you have the vaux one on order Id Just go with that

I had the Rad in & out of my old mk3 astra in about an hour - About the same time for the veccy aswell (Its a peice of piss)

Just beware of AirLock in the system when you re-fill the coolent

Strange place for the damage tho - Cant really work out how something to get in there and do that amount of damage tbh - Unless you drive without a bonnet 24/7 lmao
