    Astra g remote key reprogramming?

Found ive got someones key from their Astra G, are they reprogrammable and is the key bit changeable?

If so ill sell it on ebay, was just about to chuck it in the bin!

BTW the key is now useless as the car it belonged to got burnt.

the blade is useless, but the fob can be re-synched to another astra, method is easy enough, key in ignition press lock button and key should be synched in
    I smile because I don't know what's going on.

the remote part is programable just by putting the key in the ignition, turning to position2 and pressing buttons.
the key part has the imobiliser transponder in it, and is programable with tech1/2 but the key has been cut to match the locks so who ever buys the key part would have to get a lock built to match.

The remotes can be coded to a central locking/Alarm ECU of the same type with Tech2.

Transponder Chip can be coded to an immobiliser ECU with Tech2.
