insurance after engine conversion

hey guys, its early days yet but ill be dropping an SEH lump into a corsa, but what will this do to my insurance premium? obviously i notify the DVLA of changes to the vehicle, but what else should i have to do? just tell the insurance company and let them make up their minds how much their should charge me for a 1340bhp corsa? ive heard of people mentioning 'engineers reports' after doin a conversion but thought it was just b/s.

now i realise the rise in insurance price would be vary from driver to driver and model and engine fitted. ive been on the road for about 4 years, but only in the last year have i taken out my own policy, as i was insured through my dad before!

any help wud be great guys, i feel a bit left in the dark about it!

Get a quote before you do the conversion.
Some insurers dont cover engine swaps.

when you do engine conversions, do you need to provide your company with a machanics report afterwards, if you know what i mean

bit of a boring thread topic i know but it never seems to egt covered that much, im not sure about mechanics reports, its something someone told me a while back but sounded like rubbish. i think ill try someone like adrian flux for a quote before i go ahead with it. the engine is an NE which will have seh parts fitted using the ne block and engine code. so it should be something like insuring an astra SRi i should imagine/hope.
thanks for any advice though
