American XE - is there such a thing

i was just wondering if anybody knew of any american cars fitted with a redtop engine?

i know they have loads of variations of ecotec's but have never heard of redtops over there any info would be great

I have seen a picture of a American car with a Chevrolet spark plug cover and it looked like a XE .

any idea's which cars they were fitted to at all, was wondering as im on my way over there on wednesday and my uncle owns a salvage yard so could of checked whether he had any, mostly out of interest

thing that got me thinking was seeing a Chevrolet Cobalt SS which i have always assumed are like the american equivilant of a vauxhall astra yet this has a 2.0 liter supercharged engine
