    Ford Focus RS 300bhp 4x4 !!!!

Don’t be fooled by the looks of this test car. It is not the ordinary Ford Focus ST but the brand-new Focus RS. Looking closer at the front end one can see the bigger air intakes and the driver helps drawing the photographers attention by giving him the finger and putting his foot down.

The sound of the 300-bhp engine was unmistakable, just like the car’s fast acceleration with four-wheel-drive and the rally-like sound of that dump valve while shifting gears. Add some wide fenders, a more aggressive front end styling and you have the Focus RS, a true competitor to the upcoming EVO X.

Ive been seeing 4wd focus prototypes on the net for best part of a decade now, but they never seem to make it to production

Why haven't they already done a 4x4 Focus? Surely there is a big demand from all the current Cosworth owners for something new?

I'll dig the pics out of the Fiesta RS that looks Phat.

Oh and the other rumour is that there will be a Diesel ST Focus out at the end of the year. Possibly based on the Diesel out of the Mondy

Probably because of the rate of development from the evo and scooby, I bet every time ford have it "finished" they look at the market again and go "OMG they now have AYC" or "they now do a 400bhp one"

I think mainly though, its just that ford dont view 4wd as being so important in these modern times of traction control etc.
TBH a focus RS is a stupidly capable road car without needing it!

If they did, then the mag wouldnt use that photographer again, as all mags will buy pictures as "exclusive use" typically.

Will be good to see how it squares up with other 4x4 on the market at the moment IF they put it into production

reason there's not been a 4x4 yet was that the old shell would have taken too much chopping to get the 4wd in there for production, thats why the RS was 2WD, the whole idea of the new platform for the new shape focus was that it had 4wd capability so they could make this car, should be good i reckon
