Not much to report on then. Good that the show was quiet to get about easily but is it a hint that it may be dying?

dont think so craig, there was lots there, and it was still a weell attended event, just not so crowded you could get to everything like last year, i just couldnt be arsed to take lots of photos, the amount of business done for the industry at the show will keep it alive for the forseeable future imo

i didnt bother - 28 quid to get in + parking - too mucy to pay which is why i dont think its been too busy - should have offered the tickets minus the live arena like they used to

I dont doubt that. I was asking if anything. Its refreshing to be able to access that field of modified/motorsport stuff & not be swarmed by all the Mickey mouse/MAX Power rubbish most shows are littered with.

Its hard to modify a car these days without buying a suspension kit or whatever that isnt marketed by a mini skirt wearing female on the box!

    you're not wrong mate
good bit about autosport is how they promote the grass roots racing series, they give them a whole section to get people interested and keep the industry going, but then you have the engineering stands showing what they can do and some mega machinery to drool over, what more could you want?? oh yeah... girls, there's a good few of them toolmao

Exactly. I have to run 16s with a 5mm spacer on the front to clear the Reylands. I could change brakes but they are just so awesome!

I normally run 195/45 16 tyres and tried fitting 195/50 16 R888s but the tyre wall bulged out as opposed to going straight down so the overall width is 203mm which wouldn't fit in my rear arches.

A couple of places do slicks in 190/580 R16 but even those are over 200mm in width so would be very tight! Also, they require a 7" rim, mine are only 6.5".

    So its either gonna be:-

    a) Run a decent 195/45 R16 road tyre
    b) Find some slicks by miracle tha would fit!
    c) Sell brakes and go down to 15" wheels.

I can't see what else I can do.

The slicks at 200mm MIGHT fit in but they would more than certainly foul the inner arch as I've had to bash tem a little now, which would mean running another spacer on the back pushing them out even more then hitting the outer arch. I might just have to buy some and get the hammer out! lmao

Sorry to thread hijack. Although it was how I spent most of the Autosport show!

    Simps.

Dude you have a mare on your hands! Any way of getting new caliper mounts so you can use a 284 disc?
