Finally cleaned the motor...

Finally got around to cleaning the car after so long (10 weeks or so!) I really wasnt looking forward to this. Id waxed it with Harly wax some time back so getting the crud off wasnt too bad.

I used a strong Simoniz wash mix with one of the group buy wash mitts (had to go over it twice!)

Rinsed and dried and then got the cheapo Silverline rotary out using Megs #80. I havent had a chance to wax it yet however.

Wheels were done with some Astonish wheel cleaner and left to sit before rinsing off with the same strong solution of Simoniz shampoo. Rinsed, dried and treated the tyres with Megs Endurance and did the wheels with the #80 too. Theyve come up a treat. Exhaust was done easily with some Autosol I had knocking around.

Managed to do the engine bay too with some degreaser and a toothbrush. I left this to sit, blasted off with a spray gun and then detailed the rubber with the same Megs Endurance and gave the rocker cover a quick polish too

Quickly hoovered and shined the interior plastics too, didnt get a pic of this though, and also did a mini repair of the bumper where Id scraped it reversing out on the gatepost.

PHEW!
