    What engine?

My turbo has just rolled 90k and still going strong *touches wood*

Admittedly, I have had a new turbo fitted, but the old one was still sound.

I have seen 1.8's on nearly 120k and still as good as ever. It all depends how you look after it really.

Thinking about it, for about £1k more, you could get a decent turbo with lower miles and only a year older. There's a good silver one in ebay classifieds the now.

    Astra coupe 2.2
Well its not quite the same but i have a 51 ........ 2.2 coupe , engines fine only 38k so far
As usual its minor things that go wrong ,.

    ive had/have :

Failed aircon compressor ( not fixed yet )
Both rear coil springs broke ( fixed for mot last week )
Cd changer failed ( Will fix later )
Powersounder went "bonkers" , ( removed and thrown in bin )

All these problems are minor nothing serious , just annoying . Overall its a good car . As ive said never had any engine problems but its only on 38k .

    PEOPLE MENTAL
mines a 01 plate had 93k on the clock..mileage did worry me, but on reciepts could see its also had a new turbo, service history
it was advertised for £5,500..and had look EVERYWHERE for coupe turbo, or SRI turbo, even the vxl garage searched for me for a few weeks...couldnt find anything much under £6,500 with reasonable miles for £6,500 had 70k on the clock
knocked bloke down to £4,700 for mine, as the bodywork was rough (to my standard) so then i spent 1k on a sprayjob (discount for taking all my cars there )
but it goes like a dream, no knocks, rattles, smooth as anything

check usuals things, wear and tear, service history, criuse control, traction control, air con works etc
never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups
