I'd say tacky tbh. In certain circumstances though it is acceptable, my uncle bought a private plate for his red BMW because the last three letters were TWT.. lmao
Its my 1st car, I've had it 5 yrs, i have a company car for day to day use.
So i'm never planning on selling the car, as i've spend so much time/money on it gettin it mint, it has a really rare Steinmetz kit on it, and i've upgraded the stcok ectotech lump to a v6 running f28 etc.
I'll looked into Stuff with my intials "DJB" but i need to sell my house for that!
I'm lookin into part exing my old plate, as simlar ones M*** TFR are going for the same price as the M*** CDX s
But being robbing *******s i doubt they'll give me any money off!
The only reason id get a private numer plate is if i had a realy nice old car which could be alot newer than it is, or if i had more money than sense.
For example i have a '93 K reg MR2 mk2. They remained almost tha same all through manufacture until 2000. I may in the future buy a plate as then no-one can tell wether its 13years old or just 6. But tbh i still think its abit of a waste of money. Deffo wouldnt bother with a cav.
it wont let me do a search for only db :-( i'll just see if a pykey company want my old 1, i'd prefer a plate with CDX on just so ppl think i'm a C@nt lol
i only ever got one plate and its all in the name lol K7LVO a nice touch i thought, as for something car related, depends on the plate n car some tacky some not, but if you like it does it matter what others think, J 800ST X Cool plate. B10 COS (on a cossie) cool plate. A20 CDX or something i would say bit tacky
I'll prob;es neva get one, i was just a ~sunday morning "bored as Feck" momment on the web lookin into regs,
My dad was once offered
JW 80 WES
If i was him i would have got it!
Wat if i change my name by Depole!
I'll neva be able to justify the expense of a private plate, So Case closed
oh but how can "CDX" on a CDX be tacky and "Cos" on a Cosworth be ok????????
C20 LET on a cav turbo does look cool, as it looks like something from a show room!, But in reality its a standard RED TOP he sold the turbo engine lol
Matter of opinion but it's the best "mod" you can have imo as you can take it with you for all your cars but I can't stand car specific plates for this reason, and they do look a bit tacky imo.
