Car paint question.

Are all cars lacquered regardless of paint type or is it just metallic colours?
Any body point me to some diy painting tips?

as far as i know its all types.

tried painting before. my tip is dont rush it, take your time or you get runs and allsorts.

do it somwhere you wont get dust everywhere cause this will ruin the paintwork.

Not all paints are lacquered.
depends what the paint type is...........

Metallics 99% of time are lacquered. Solid colours usually not. However any can be lacquered, it gives a deeper shine.

2k paint has the paint and lacqer mixed together, 1k uses the base then clear on top! preperation is the key. make sure the area is clean tack free and well smooth!
