    A Ford.....

    L200 Warrior V's Nissan Navara

Im looking at getting either an L200 Warrior or a Nissan Navara for around the £10k mark.

Im not sure which to go for as ive never driven either on the road yet.

    Anyone own one of them?

Which would you go for out the two?

Anyone know of any commercial auctions that might have a few in?

    Cheers, Rich.

if you egt a warrior DONT get the diesel... get the v6 petrol (but it will be an import) as they both do the same Mpg but the petrol ahs a 12K service Vs the 6K TD service...

My boss was looking at both of these brand new and bought the Navara, because the new L200 (and I quote) "Is slow as **** and looks like a girls car with all those curves" LOL.

It wont be a new shape ill be going for as im not keen on the new shape L200 either. I know the navara has about 20 bhp more than the L200 in standard form but you can chip the L200 for £500 to get an extra 20 bhp+.

Cambrige, i dont really want to get an import to be honest.

What about depreciation? Are they pretty good and which do you think will hold its value better, if any?

IMHO Navarra's look cool the warrior looks a bit ghey and a bit meathead really, TBH I can't see a petrol being a better bet in such a big heavy car, I think you are going to need the pull of the diesel otherwise your gonna jigging that gearstick like a porn star.

After working on both new and used Navara's, personally I wouldn't get one, the diesel auto is so slow its quicker to get the bus, the manual isn't as bad. But the engine sounds like it has been round the world and back the way they rattle (I was driving anything from ones not registered on the road without number plates to things that had done 80K miles and they all sounded the same). Haven't drivin an L200 for ages and can't really remember disliking it....

I love the old L200 shape etc but id never own one having spoken to some owners. The Diesel is cak, the petrol has its own pitfals with being an import etc. I mean do you REALLY want to be servicing your TD every 6000 miles lol......

The ford ranger is a "better" vehicle in terms of driving a utility vehicle without worry, same as the hi-lux too...
