    Vecra SRi Advice

My mates after a vectra SRi to replace his saxo vtr lmao, so i said id ask on here for a few pointers.

What do we look out for? Main points?

What engines are good, what are bad? Hes currently looking at a 1.8 ecotec, i said id recommend at least a 2l for speeds sake... Anyone have something to add?

BTW is a '98ish model hes after. Hes looking at spending about a grand.

Because hes got something wrong with him. Seriously! Let me list his cars in order

    1.4 Clio RT

    1.1 106 Inderpendance lmao

    1.2 Clio Beebop lmao lmao

Escort xr3i Cabby - but i might add he bough it in the winter this year, saw all the rainy/snowy days in it freezing his bollox off and now hes given it to his lass lmao

    Saxo vtr

and all this in 2 and a half years driving. Hes just thick as feck i think, doesnt realy know what he wants. This week he wants a vectra so thats what he'll get... even though now every one of his mate will have a faster and better car than him (including his lass lmao)

vectra's are ok, but if he likes the size etc. then best go for a quicker variant i.e. cav gsi, astra gsi, calibra 16v/v6??????? for similar money?

Go for the 2.2 vectra B!

quick motors for the size! 0-60 in 8.3 or something like that i think!

Insurance is always good with a vectra.... Family cars

Yeah i looked up the insurance and the differance between the 1.8 and the 2.5 v6 is only about £80 - not much when your talking £700 anyhow

Cheers people, now its just convincing him the sri 120 will be slow as shat. I personally cant see it being much quicker than his vtr. I keep telling him he keeps going backwards with his cars but....
oh forget it, let him have a crap car and then me and his lass can just leave him and laugh lmao lmao

For a grand hes not going to get a nice 1 unless hes lucky.

    I've just brought a 90k miles SRi V6, S reg, and that was £2500.

Calibras are silly silly insurance if hes around the 20 yr old mark.

Anything less than 2.2 in a vectra the saxo will beat it....

For a grand...i'd buy a Cav SRi, or Corsa GSi

lmao @ this thread, since he has sold the saxo, and bought it back with damage, fecked it even more and sold it again. He's now driving his lasses xr3i, which now has very little left of it, told him not to give it to a girl
