You should all sign up to the brand new club on the scene

    "Haynzee's Car Club"

Currently very busy, with a total of 1 member, all you need to do to join, is to all get along with each other. (and post your existing membership cards, and £30 cash)

I personally joined MIG through its own merits, and at the time VPCC was having troubles, but they will be back i have no doubt.

As for PNG poaching members, I saw the forementioned sign at Billing, I thought it was a joke, surely the VBOA wouldnt have allowed this? Whats the official word on it?

Everybody needs to cool off methinks, it seems to have got foreheads sweaty, this one

    hi,

being a member of the PNG & VPCC, i would like to express my views on the subject.

    1) FAR from not trying to find the facts Andy, Jon W has infact been trying to contact Pulse without success, as have i and many others (your fellow VPCC co-ordinators included) .

    2) i have mailed jon a list of the rumours that i have been receiving whilst trying to find out what is happening as my renewal for the VPCC is up soon and i can ill afford to waste my subs.

3)rockingham were shocked when i rang to ask about camping only to inform me that they had no idea what i was on about ( i spoke to the track co-ordinator)

    4) whilst i think it is a bit dodgy PCC's tactics, what is to stop someone from saying to their region co ordinator that their card has been lost? PCC(ltd) saw an opening in the market and went for it - commendable business sense IMO

Alls fair in love and war!

    Phil

PS i was one of the PNG members on the Doncaster stand - if your attitude is such that as a paid up VPCC member I shouldnt be there then, well, what makes you better than the PCC (ltd)?

PPS My VPCC membership card is a photocopy of one with "temporary" scrawled across it and my dertails written on (I nearly lost my money last time they went under). My PNG card is a nice shiny smart plastic card (not paper and both are available for inspection upon request.)

I am not saying thees anything wrong in the PCC looking for new members, but to be as blatant as to ask for VPCC cards to be surrnendered that is surely very under hand, and I can see no justification whatso ever for a move like that.

The VPCC are going through a lot of changes (again) and hopefully the club will be sorted out this time around.

And Andy isnt saying that you shouldnt be there Phil, what he was mearly saying is that what would people say if the VPCC's attitude was like that, a move which would be no better than the currnet Stunt being pulled by PCC. VPCC wouldnt do that and are quiet happy for you to be there - we are better than the PCC and have some level of common sense when it comes to matters like that.

    100% agree dave.

as has been said before...the VPCC regions are more than capable of carrying on without the support of the VPCC head office. In fact to some degree we have been for the last 18months

Who really gives a flying f*ck what your membership card looks like? I think it's pathetic that people are slating the VPCC because it's had a few admin problems. A club should be judged on the quality of the membership, and this is where the VPCC wins hands down.

    Exclamation

    Andy,

"Anyway.....most novas will be dead soon so its only a matter of time till the PNG is no more"

What a shining advert for the VPCC you are.

Does your region not have any novas? I seem to recall that there were quite a few novas around my own at Doncaster. Perhaps you would like to express that view to them as well?

Does this also apply to other discontinued vauxhalls such as cavaliers, MK2&3 Astras, calibras and carltons (including the mighty Lotus carlton which AFAIK is of a similar age to the last of line novas).

Yes novas are old, but there is a band of enthusiasts, who , however wisely, are prepared to spend money on them and enjoy them for what they are.

When co-ordinatiors express such derogatory views in this manner, no wonder people want to leave.

this had detracted somewhat from the intial intention of the post which was to express concern about the PCC groups current method of recruitment and the need to take advantage of other clubs misfortune to gain members rather than attracting new members from the clubs own merits.

    and Pete

"Who really gives a flying f*ck what your membership card looks like? "

    Wow,

Did we both forget which side of bed to get out of?

All i was trying to point out was this. I am on a relatively low wage, and cannot afford to throw money away. When i turn up at a VAUXHALL DEALERSHIP and try to claim the discount TO WHICH I AM ENTITLED AS A PAID UP V.P.C.C MEMBER and have my card rejected as a fake due to its appearance, I am somewhat disheartened and I feel I have wasted my money on the subs. IF i do get a discount with my VPCC "paper", then it is after some hesitation and sucking of teeth!

However, with a card that looks like the PNG one, i.e. smart and obviously genuine, such discounts, to which i am entitled, are given without quibble.

I am amazed at both your responses.

phil. i can understand what you mean, but surely the fact you can get a discount at vauxhall main dealers is proof of the benefits of the VPCC. The png don't offer the same cos they are not official.

If it wasn't for the vpcc you wouldn't have been able to show at doncaster either? cos the png didn't go.

Are you a member of a regional group? becuase if you were i'm sure you wouldn't be of the dim opinion of the club.

have you had any discounts from dealers or in fact other places?

I'm lost as to the reason your amazement at my response. I was arrogant and sarcastic, 2 traits that I feel are very much in character for myself.

I am member of the VPCC and my missus is a member of PNG.

I am a bit upset with VPCC as I have not had a copy of high performer at all this year but gave them the benefit of the doubt as I met the geezer who took over at Donny this year and he said they are gradually sorting things out......fair enuff.........how come you lot have had High Performer......again I can never get hold of the vpcc on the phone to find out.........it does piss me off a bit...but i love vauxhalls so much im just glad to be a part of it all......but it is getting a bit tiresom now............

it is my personal opinion that all the clubs should work together whats the point in having all these people who are a good bunch all who have the same passion and interests and splitting us all up all the time.......

i know what i mean any way............

    errrrr cheers peeps........

    Question Yawn…

'Scuse me for pointing out the obvious, but the VPCC is a money making organisation. as such, members pay their money in exchange for a service. If the service is below acceptable standards, surely the members are allowed to complain and join whichever club they like.

Andy S - you really need to get off you soap box. Everyone on this BB can see how weak your statements are and no matter how vigerously you try to defend the VPCC the simple fact remains they're not keeping all their customers happy.

Oh, and anyone wanting to start about perms, scousers and theiving… bring it on. It seems they're as out of touch as the VPCC and don't know that's I've got a number 2 on my bonce.

It seems that some people here (and we all know who we're taling about) seem incapable of discussing a subject without resorting to personal jibes. Personally I find that immature and pugnacious. I don't have time for either of these traits which I find in my 10 year old nephew.

    I thank you…

to be honest this thread should be closed because its detracted into a slagging match against clubs. The original post was intended to clarify whether the PCC were offering discount for resigning from another VBOA club. That has been confirmed by numerous sources so lets just see what the VBOA have to say on the matter and stop the squabbling.

Walshy - I'm well aware you have a skinhead now - well at least you did when I was chatting to you at the weekend. Looks like your sense of humour got chopped off along with your curly locks!
