Been offered a 15cm 600W jobbie brand new with a few different discs for £20. Is 600W enough? I want it for basic grinding welds down and wire brush attachment for cleaning up wheels and bits of body and chassis work, and to cut the front off my car (slam panel etc) to rip the engine out. Will 15cm be big enough?
http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?cId=100368&ts=33511&id=48848 i use this one got about 5 off them seam to work well for the money ideal little grinder i 4 1/2 " grinder will be up 2 the job. Also u can now get 1mm thick disks which are great for cutting body work very fast and neat cut.
i had 1 that cost me dad £7 only gave up last month, i must have used 50 discs onit, why the hell do u need to chop the slam panel off to take the engine out?
Ah. If it's an 8v, I seriously wouldn't bother. I broke a Cav SRi 8v, couldn't be arsed taking the engine out. Nobody wants them, and spares are so readily available....
becasue me and my dad are building a 44' long steal roundbilge yacht so have different disks in them at any one time like 1mm cutter, grinder disk , flap disk, wire brush to name a few was going to buy expensive ones but we would destroy a dewalt one just the same in the condictions that we are working plus for the sake of destorying a few at £6 the first lot where thats a lot of grinders u have to brake to get to the cost of a dewalt one.
