Just wondering if anyone has ever busted their screen by defrosting the window using water? I dont know anyone thats ever done it! Granted, I only use luke warm water not boiling water but have any of you ever managed it?
I've always chucked a kettle full of boiling water on. Naughty naughty I know, and I understand the potential risk and mechanics behind it but I always thought it was an old wive's tale.
I shall give up this practise starting tomorrow morning lol (Have got away with it for a good 8 years though).
on my old camper van the doors froze shut, i ripped them open n took the door seal with it ! lol
it can be messy but WD40 or vasaline stops them from freezing
the warmer the water the quicker it freezes for some reason. Dad had filled up the jug for me this morning so I used warm water as thats what he uses, it froze in the time that it took to go back in the house toput the jug back. Ive always used stone cold water from the tap, and never had that happen before!
Before people jump in saying its bollocks, it is true and proven by science! Assume its some molecule stuff as when boiling/warm they are further apart so maybe more isolated and subject to freezing on an individual basis?
