Bizzare challenge

The most bizarre thing just happened.
I've just been out on the road fine tuning the boost controller. Changing the
settings and then accelerating hard up to around 120 - 130mph then backing
off and repeating.
I was paying most attention to the display, as there was virtually no traffic
ahead of me, when out of nowhere this battered out Renault Espace came
hoofing past me. I was doing around 130 at the time. I'd guess the Espace at
160ish After the Espace passed me it backed off and we both came down to
about 70mph. I noticed the Espace had 2 kiddies in the back playing about
with balloons so was pretty amazed that the driver wanted to expose them
to that sort of speed. Anyway, I repeated my acceleration routine and
blasted past the Espace and levelled out at the 120 - 130 mark again. With
that the Espace gave chase and once again overtook me at around 160mph
ish - as the Espace went by I got a look at the driver and couldn't believe it.
It was a woman of around 45 years old. Quite why she fancied a race with
my Astra is beyond me lmao

Lol, espace at 160mph,i very much doubt it. If i got beat of a bus in a mk2 phase 4 i wouldnt be posting about it. Hold on,is this a wind up??

The 3.5 V6 Espace with 250bhp will get to 140mph and wont take all that long getting there in 4th but it has pretty much run out of 'gear' when it gets there.

the espace pictured was a F1 espace corca 800bhp top end of 310kph

Very possible. The speedo was fresh in the same day, and if the Espace was
the V6 like lethal said - it's not too surprising.

I wasn't racing the thing - there were kiddies in the back and after all it's a
Renault Espace. It just took me a bit by surprise lmao
