'Safety' Camera Van

Was on my way home earlier down the usual stretch of 40mph dual carrigeway, approximately at around 45mph travelling a sensible distance from the vehicle in front of me, basically trailing him. a BMW came past me on the right hand side at about 55mph and as i glanced over i saw a police camera van on the other side of the dual carrigeway in a layby positioned at an angle facing my side of the dual carrigeway. i would have never have seen it if i hadnt looked over as i saw it i slowed to 40ish. B'stards!
