Rightyo, finally have my Koni & Eibach goodies in the post and 4 bushes for the front, and two big chunky efforts for the rear subframe sitting on me desk.

What would be an acceptable price to pay for having these fitted to my Omega?

A tenner would be ideal as thats all i have left of my od limit till payday! lmao

Alot. I got mine done for free as a big favour. I was quoted £100 by someone but I don't think they knew how hard it was.

Unless you want to pay alot I'd find someone who has done it before and pay them with cash or beer or both.

Its not really hard it just takes ages and thats where the cost can mount up at a garage

250 quid? I dont want it fitted by a Merc dealership! eeek, The back end should be easier to do, may be worth tackling that myself.

Dont have spring compressors for the front. Pants, I prefered the garage option but not at that price.

Willl pay some a visit when i get the kit!

That is an amazing price since the springs are 90% of the work.

To put it into context it took 7 hours to do the front left strut on mine, 2.5 hours to do the right one and 30 minutes to do the rear of the car. There were 2 of us doing it but we stopped for lunch and to buy things we were missing. Job well done.

This was of course on a 10 year old car and things were seized and stuck, it should be easier on yours.

Cheers Johann! If i can get it done for 100quid i'l probably take it somewhere. Any recomended garages round our way?

If it costs much more then i'lget back to you about the compressors!

As for diy :D I dont mind getting my hands dirty, cant afford visits to Gillespies, so my heids under the bonnet quite often these days :)

You see much of little boy Brown these days? I hear he has picked up a Skoda :D

Stu brown i seen him grinning at a customer jus before christmas in electronic botique, as i was passing. And i swear i did see him pass me in a petrol felicia, sounded rattly?. from what he told me about six months back he see's shug the goth quite often but i have not talked to him since as for irwin has not talked to him since school i did see him walkin his dog and i swear he has got uglier. What about yourself still at cali? oh and good luck with your suspension if u dont get any joy i'll ask someone if they will do it for u as a homer.

hehe, i've not seen the rest of them since the old days either. Last I hear of Irwin he was pushing dead bodies round some hospital! lmao Shug I met in town about 2 years ago, was a surprise! He's still the same and sported the same pair of gegs!

Im still at Cali but likely to get chucked out very soon, cant be arsed with my honours year and will probably fail my exams. Too busy to care though!

As for the suspension, asked the garage opposite kwik fit, but he was too busy, and one down the back of the Ford dealer, said he would for around 200quid. Will give Reids a try and the VW specialist down east side as well.

Find out how much someone would want for the job, would appreciate that!

Yep, Shocks and Springs, 30mm drop, two chunky bushes for the rear subframe and 4 smaller bushes going on the front wishbones.

I wouldnt mind having me old back box taken off and replaced with the twin pipe I have in me shed :) but that im not too fussed about!

Coming home from work last night I had to put up with a constant squeek from the back wheel. Quick trip to Kwik-Fit says its a pair of warped discs, 260quid to replace?!?!

Got the discs and pads from Halfords for 115quid but i think il attempt that myself!

Im Skint!

cheers mate
