well we fitted the Z20LET gasket onto my brothers 20xe and all seems fine, runs cooler now aswell and the fan kicks in earlier, not a single hint of overheating, thanks for the help everyone, just hope this gasket lasts longer then a crap standard 20xe pattern item.

am i right in thinking that the smaller water holes on the z20 gasket would create more water pressure?

maybe, not 100% sure, but my brothers had a z20let one fitted on his 20xe and it runs cooler then with a standard xe gasket and plus they are stronger.

    Like its stolen
i dont see how it can really make it any cooler TBH, as the thermostat just wont open as quickly and the temp will stay the same surely?
Unless the old gasket was actually going and causing a rise in heat too extreme for the radiator to deal with?

well it did on my brothers, the old gasket when 1st fitted ran hotter then what the z20let one is on it.
