Is it tru Samco hoses have patented the colour of their hoses. I dunno where i've heard if but apparently the blue is patented. Not sure about their other colours.

to be honest i can believe it as harley davidson patented the noise there bikes make, so no one can make a 90deg V-twin sound the same

I don't see why not but you have to remember only the exact shade will be patented. It's like the way Police cars are usually sprayed in their own version of white.

You can not patent a colour, but you can register a name of a colour as a trademark, for example, Barley White is a registered trademark of ICI (Dulux)
