As above am I safe to get this done on my corsa let or is it going to be more trouble then it's worth? Or should I try and cover the electric bits then get it done?

Have you got a jetwash?
Degreaser left to soak for 10 mins and then a jetwash is just as good as steam cleaning and cheaper!
Just warm the engine first, then duck tape a binliner round the dizzy and coil and leave to dry overnight afterwards and you'll be fine.
Doing it warm gives it more chance to evapourate afterwards
Ok cheers mate, but does engine degreaser strip engine paint off??
And also no I don't have a jet wash...well I did until early hours Thursday morning when my shed burnt down! Lol il go buy one tomorrow cuz I know it's going to take the insurance company ages to out!
no engine degreaser wont strip paint buddy, anothrt option is tfr, its like a heavy duty truck cleaner, thats all i use on engine bays, brings them up like new.
Thanks mate
Why do you want to strip paint?
I don't just wanna make sure it not take the paint off my block
Autosmart 101 is good to use.(get it off ebay). It will tell you how much to dilute it on the container.
Ive done a good few engine bays with this now and works well.
If you want to help out all the plastics and hoses in the bay, after youve de-greased it with the engine still wet, spray everything in Autoglym Rubber and Vinyl care, close the bonnet and let it run for 10 mins
