I have just purchased a mk 3 astra and it had a respray around 3 months ago but was never buffed. I was wondering if I will need to buff it or will t-cut do the same job?
Cheers

So its an out of the gun finish?
Wet\ colour sand then a good G3 mop.
Can you not ask whoever painted it ?
As far as I know its just out of the gun? I don't know the boy that painted it as it was done by the last owner.
Its actually a really good finish considering it wasn't buffed. I will get some g3 tomorrow. cheers!!
G3 isn't really something you can mess with by hand.
Get a local bodyshop or valeter to do it, money well spent.
Iv seen a few people buff cars too much until they can see metal lol best left to the pro's
If you haven't done it before it can be hard and you may burn thru the paint. As you'll really want a mop/buffer to do it with. Pop in a few bodyshops and get a price, they'll all do it.

I dare any of you to tell me you wouldn't let this upstanding young citizen slob on your knob like corn on the cob.
I haven't done it before. I thought it would be ok if I followed the instructions haha. I bought the applicator pads. I think will just leave it to the professionals. I really don't want to mess it up!
App pads are ok for wax, but you want more than that to polish up new paint.
