Use a rubber brush, you can get them from pet shops.

If its like a 2nd carpet, you'll need a lot of tape.
The brush drags the hair out and allows it to be hoovered away.
If its as bad as you say you could (will) be looking at several hours of hoovering.
Worst thing about pet hair is you'll always find more when you think you've finished.
    Best of luck.

Re: Valeting tip req for dog hair!

One of the thorns in my side when i was working as a valeter. We had a special pet hair brush, that and some major hoovering done the job. Hated it when cars full of hair came in. Made worse when you spent hours cleaning it for the customer to come back with the dog and chuck it back in the car.

Re: Valeting tip req for dog hair!

if you spray carpet with any soapy liquid and then it's easier to hoover. if you have normal vacuum cleaner then you need to be careful with amount of liquid that you use. but it certainly works
