buy a hone for your drill and it'll soon be gone out of your cylinders
Custom C20LET/Z20LET Inlet manifolds from £250, XE/LET baffle sumps £50, Re-flanges, EVO TD05 turbo conversions, aluminium & stainless steel TIG welding, pm for requirements
Anything else apart from one of them tools, what about wire wool and sand paper etc mate
You're better off with the honing tool, because it will be round.
If not just add some oil to the bores, and crack it over.
'power makes you faster down the straights, lightness makes you faster everywhere' mr c chapman.
Scotchbrite pad and oil depending on how bad it is.
I have used 1200 grit wet and dry with oil before and a wire brush in a drill but they were not important blocks to keep and it was a rush job.
Over zealous use with a honing tool can soon get you into trouble imo for a quick clean i do prefer the bottle brush type but they are so scarce and expensive in the uk.
Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive, anyway.
if its pitted pretty bad then it it would ideally need a re-bore, but honing is deffo the one they are cheap as mate, i know you'd have to do some super rubbing in one place to take it out of shape like but with the honing it goes round fast so its evan, i recently did mine on my block looks ok that had surface rust but all gone now and lubed up ready for pistons![]()

Renault Kangoo C20XE On bike carbs (yes you read that correct, no its not finished yet)
Well it is not that bad i dont think it will need a re-bore tbh its just the usual surface rusty water look, will try with some oil and crank it over see where that gets me, if not will try the scotch pad with some oil
Thank you so much for the help guys
Diesel and a rag to get the big bits off, then crank it over. Probably not the best solution, but probably the easiest.
