T-cut is about as much good as water for paint, get G3 compound on it and use lots of water, it will come up like glass, but you HAVE to polish it afterwards

I would recommend using a clay bar before proceeding to attack the paintwork with a cutting compound, Bilt Hamber clay is very good and only needs water as a lubricant

Clay it first and then use a mild polish - something that's designed to be applied by hand. I wouldn't advise applying G3 by hand - it's designed for machine polishing and won't break down properly by hand.

As a rule, try the mildest polish first and see if you're happy with the results before going in with the compound. Something like Autoglym Super Resin Polish is ideal, or anything from the Meguiars range.

you might laugh, but for years now i have cut paintwork with either tesco or sainsburys own brand cream cleaner, not as harsh as t cut, needs a bit of effort, about the same as farecla g10 but costs pennies, you do have to either wash well or polish off the residue though but always great results

throw the t-cut in the bin, it isnt good for anything

most cleaning product companies make 3 grades of cut, but as already mentioned, give it a good clay and rewash before attacking it with cutting compounds, start with mild, then medium, then hard, then work back down the grades, then finish off with a good polish then wax, meguiars caters for evey stage in this process
