    Coillies + Hub Cleaning

    Hello guys i have just got some coillies and conversion hubs which are caked in rust, what is the best way to get these cleaned up as i cant see a wire brush etc doing the job

    Any info on this will be appreciated

    Wire brush on a drill to get most crusty off then soak in rust remover solution overnight. There is one you can get from Halfords by Hammerite that is bright green and you water it down.

    Thank you mate looks like some quality time with my drill then, i think i had that stuff before like a green gel it was is that the stuff your thinking of mate

    or soak in malt vinegar it does work but stinks lol

    i left parts in vinegar for a few days at least they came up brill.
    nothing beats a good wheelabrator shot blaster though lol

    No it's a liquid like water that you water down. You immerse things in it. Vinegar will work too, forgot about that one.

    wire Knot wheel on a grinder will chew it back to nice pitted metal lol
