Polishing products for a black car?

Want to give my metalic black gsi a really good clean, polis and wax before i start using it day to day. Now its pretty swirled in places and i wanted to reduce these marks and lay a good layer of wax on it.

What products do people recommend? I have poorboys SSR-1, some form of sealer and some red nattys paste lay around from when i had my red ep3. Would these all be suitable for use on a black car or can anyone else recommend any other products.

Hi Rick below is the combo of products i use on my black astra vxr

    1.AutoGlym HD paint cleaner

    2.AutoGlym Clay kit if Needed

3.AutoGlym Ultra deep shine Give the car one or two coats of this depending on how bad the marks in the paint are It really does dull the marks down

4.AutoGlym HD wax gives a really nice finish and helps protect the ultra deep shine

All the above method is all by hand aswell.

I have tried all sorts of products and find this combo to work well and there is no fancy price tag with AutoGlym works for me
hope this is of some help

One more product which is quite good by hand is G-techniq P1
    www.techniqgroup.com
have a look on the section for the P1 product and watch there youtube video on using P1 by hand

Get a good clay, clay the whole car to start with, that will remove alot of sh*te of the paint.

Use the SSR1 as it should remove all the swirl marks, you can do it by hand or a bit easier if you can borrow a mop from some one local.

Glazes work really really well on black cars, you can get good ones quite cheap now too, i use this..

Chemical Guys - EZ Glaze with Acrylic Shine II Elite Car Care

Nattys red will work fine, altho its "rage" says only down to blue cars, but itwill work fine and give it that wet look finish.

I use this to fantastic results on dark cars..

    - Meguiars Professional Paste Wax #16 - 312g Elite Car Care

Been using it for a few years and it allways gives a really deep wet look shine and it lasts for ages, it goes on with no effort and comes off just as easy.

Make sure you have a few good microfibre clothes, as anything on the surface of them will mark a black car badly.

I have a test pot of Dodo juice blue velvet too, which is ment just for dark cars, there prob enough for one car wax if you wanna try that.. Here the big tin..

    - Dodo Juice Purple Haze PRO Supercharged wax Elite Car Care
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
