Engine in the bay etc or just an empty bay. I have always used de-greaser to get most of the crap off and jet wash it down

    Re: engine bay cleaning

Ive used several degreasers and nothing is strong enough to really get the crap off, best thing that worked for me was a power washer and a scrubbing brush all by hand.

Gunk foam degreasant is a good help though.

With plastic and rubber cleaning under bonnet found autoglym rubber viynl cleaner makes the airbox and other rubber hoses shine well.

I've unbolted one of them, with the wire leading to a circular clasp connector, which connects to ground. That clasp connector grounding point looks a bit dirty.

I use this Auto Glym and my pressure washer over everything. Never had any problems with electrics but I never consentrate over them.

When I bought my Vectra I thought the sump gasket needed doing. A good spray of this everywhere... turned out to be the breather on the front. £1.20 Gasket
