    just bought some mopping gear....:)

    i just bought a mop head and wool pad from machine mart...i have auto glym paint restorer and super resin polish. would these stages be correct??

    wash/dry car
    auto restorer onto panel/wet mop head and mop away
    wool pad - super resin on panel and polish away

    They are but very very low on the scale.

    Look at 3m stuff, its very good and great on price, Fastcut if quite a hard polish/cutting compound, Ultrafina is a very fine polish.. But they have loads in the middle, They are just two i use alot.
    Get some proper wax too, SRP isn't really great, as its a bit of both. Not a dedicated was or polish.

    Wash and dry car,
    Should really clay the car,
    Fastcut or Ultrafina on mop head, do a panel at a time then wipe off with a good clean microfibre cloth,

    Now i'm not a huge fan of Wool heads, but you can use that to put the final polish and wax on. I use foam pads for all stages.
    I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.

    yeah i will try and get some pics, i just wanted to put some deep shine back into it! and get rid of some scratches if poss.

    Welcome to MIG, not sure why you signed up, but never mind.

    He wasn't just stating what he'd gone out and spent his hard earned on, but was asking for advice.
